Our Story

About Us

Founded in 2011, Belton New Tech @Waskow is Belton ISD’s school of choice, created for students who thrive in learning environments that are active, collaborative, and connected to the real world. Through project-based learning and a professional, relationship-driven campus culture, New Tech supports creative thinkers and problem solvers as they build confidence, independence, and the skills to succeed in college, careers, and community life.

We are proud to carry the name of Captain Henry T. Waskow, a Belton native whose courage and character left a lasting mark on both his soldiers and his hometown. At just 25, Captain Waskow led with humility and earned deep respect for the way he cared for his men. He gave his life for his country in the Battle of San Pietro in 1943, and his medals of valor are displayed in our Legal Pathway Courtroom as a reminder of the leadership and service we strive to inspire.

At Belton New Tech @Waskow, we aim to cultivate those same qualities—leadership, creativity, community involvement, and professionalism—so that every student leaves prepared to excel in their next educational endeavor and beyond.
