Belton New Tech High @Waskow is an open enrollment public high school engaging students through the use of Project-Based Learning. Our namesake, Henry T. Waskow, was a Belton native who is nationally known for heroics in World War II and felt giving back to others was the key to life. As such, we focus our learning on real world connections by asking our students to complete ten hours of community service a year. At Belton New Tech, our students learn the same core content based TEKS as any other school in the state of Texas, however, our focus is on collaboration, written-communication, innovation, professional ethics and oral presentation. We want to prepare our students for life beyond high school. We strive to give them the skills they will need to succeed in an ever changing society. Our students are ready for the future!
